New Horizons Youth Service Bureau appreciates our Board of Directors. The Board provides support and stewardship, planning in partnership with the staff, committee service, and provides a committed effort in service to our community.

Mike Whitlow, President Mike has been Board President for over 2 years. He works in his business, Parish Truck Sales, and in 2004 was named National Truck Dealer of the Year. He is a member of LMTA, Premium Truck Group, UTA, Ponchatoula Rotary Club and Westside Baptist Church. Mike lives in Ponchatoula.

Lynn Fickle, Jr., Secretary/Financial Officer Lynn has been a Board member for 1 year, and in addition to holding office, is on the Fundraising Committee. He is a sales representative for packaging supplies, and was recognized as Salesman of the Year for 4 years in his previous employment. Since 2008, he has operated his own packaging firm, LTF Packaging LLC. He has served on several boards, committees and associations, including Magnolia Forest Homeowners Association, World Trade Club of Greater New Orleans, and Boy Scouts of America. Lynn lives in Slidell.

Bill Eberhardt is a past President and has served on the Board for over 20 years. He is a retired forester and real estate agent. He has served on several community boards and organizations, and is currently involved with the CASA program and Ponchatoula Methodist Church. Bill lives in Hammond.

Peggy Matheu has been on the Board for over 20 years, has served on several committees and held various offices. Peggy is the Purchasing Agent for Regina Coeli Child Development Center (Head Start Program), and served as the Hammond Head Start Director for 23 years. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and attends Holy Ghost Church. Peggy lives in Robert.

Clara Latino has been on the Board for over 2 years, and serves on the Fundraising Committee. She is a Tangipahoa Parish Master Gardener with the LSU Ag Center, and has been a Girl Scout leader for 3 years. She also has been a St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High Home and School member since 2004, has served as its President, and received the Mother Seton Award. Clara lives in Ponchatoula.

Barbara Wright has served on the Board for over 3 years. She has held various offices while on the Board, as well as served on several committees. Barbara works for the federal government, and has 20 years’ experience with regulatory auditing. Barbara lives in Ponchatoula.

Raymond Mauterer has been on the YSB Board for 3 years. He is a detective with the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Department. Raymond lives in Ponchatoula.

Mike Rocker joined the Board over 2 years ago. He owns Rocker Electric Company, and lives in Hammond.

Tyra Brown has been on the Board for 1 year, and serves on the Fundraising Committee. She has worked with several Fortune 500 companies throughout the country, and is currently Sales and Marketing Director for Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville New Orleans. She has been an ad hoc volunteer for many projects which enhanced quality of life in both her community and the state of Louisiana. She has served on several boards, and is a member of French Quarter Business Women, International Special Events Society, Louisiana Travel Promotion Association, and Communications for Meeting Professionals. Tyra resides in both St. Tammany and Tangipahoa Parishes.

Angela Wilt Cox has been on the Board for 1 year. She is an attorney licensed in both Louisiana and Mississippi. Angela is a Louisiana Board Certified Family Law Specialist, and works as a family law attorney, including cases involved with child protective services. She is a member of the LA Bar Association, the MS Bar Association, and is on the Family Law Committee. Angela lives in Slidell.
